Friend of the LIG Program:
We are pleased to announce that Quint Wellington Redwood has signed on as the first Friend of the DFW LIG.
Quint sponsored our December Networking Event at The Blue Goose Cantina in Addison. There was lots of great food,fun and door prizes all provided courtesy of Quint. Brian Harden won an iPod Shuffle and $15 itune gift card and Susan Schellhase won a Kindle and $25 gift card for ebooks. Thanks again to Quint for the great event.

LIG Leadership Elections:
2012 LIG Leadership Elections are coming up soon. Please make note of the following important dates.
- Jan 30, 2012 - Solicitation for nominations begins.
- Feb 24, 2012 - Deadline for nominations.
- Feb 29, 2012 - Notification to members of nominees.
- Mar 15, 2012 - Voting begins.
- Mar 30, 2012 - Voting ends.
- Apr 6, 2012 - Results are announced.
- Apr 12, 2012 - Hand-off to new leadership.
Elections will be held for the following positions:

President – elected prior year as Pres-elect; documents/publishes meeting minutes

President-Elect – becomes President the next year; backs up the President; maintains LIG budget; reconcile budget with data from itSMFUSA

Membership Chair – Reconcile LIG roster and mailing list; manages membership drives; produces name badges for each meeting

Events Chair – identifies coordinator for each meeting; follows up to ensure proper planning, etc.; submits required items to itSMF USA; project manages events

Communications Chair – maintains LIG web page(s); develops announcements/communications to LIG members; manages marketing initiatives
Policies for LIG Leadership positions:
-
LIG Leaders are required to attend at least 50% of ALL meetings, LIG events, and planning sessions.

If a Leader misses 4 consecutive meetings and/or events, the President may name a replacement.
-
If a Leader is not fulfilling their duties, the President may name a replacement.
